1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using freesign, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

freesign provides an online platform for electronically signing PDF documents. The service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue it at any time.

3. Electronic Signatures

Electronic signatures created through freesign are intended to comply with the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN, 15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.). You are responsible for ensuring that electronic signatures are legally valid for your specific use case.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when registering.

5. Credits and Payments

Free monthly credits reset each calendar month. Purchased credits do not expire. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Data Retention

Uploaded and signed documents are retained for 30 days by default, then permanently deleted. Audit event records are retained indefinitely as required by law.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use freesign to sign documents fraudulently, impersonate others, or violate any applicable law.

8. Limitation of Liability

freesign is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of electronic signatures.
